Blood eternal

Blood Eternal, released by Betsoft in 2017, is a six reel, 30 pay-line slot with a dark vampire theme. It’s not dissimilar to Immortal Romance in terms of style but it’s very different to play. Blood Eternal’s graphics look pretty dated by modern slot standards, with animations that look a little rough around the edges; it’s not a fantastic looking game by any means, but for some players, it’s got a unique style that may well just add to the game’s appeal. Overall, this is quite an enjoyable slot game, but with below-average graphics and a low RTP, you have to be a real fan to keep playing.

Gameplay

Blood Eternal plays on expanded three by six reels, with players spinning the reels to land matching combos of symbols including letter symbols, bats, vials, and crucifixes on 30 pay-lines. There are also double bat symbols, which count as two symbols in one slot, which can create some good opportunities to score higher wins since it effectively means you can be rewarded for a pay-line of 12 bats in a row. Offering more chances to win, players can win both ways in Blood Eternal, and this is always a welcome feature in any slot. Standard game-play in Blood Eternal is pretty run of the mill, but that’s not a bad thing: despite the dark and brooding theme, it actually makes for quite a relaxing slot experience.

Special features

Like most modern slots, Blood Eternal does feature wild symbols, and vampire and human symbols in this game can also take on the role of wilds, substituting for any other symbol in the game to fill up pay-lines and result in bigger wins. However, in Blood Eternal, the vampire and human symbols also trigger another special feature. If you manage to land a vampire and a human symbol side by side on the reels, they’ll join together and the vampire will take a bite out of the human – this is a nice twist to the game and adds a bit of flavour to the plot. This will trigger a free spins round in which all of the vampire and human characters will stay in place as sticky wilds, as will other symbols which might have been splattered by the blood of the human victim during the bite animation. In terms of basic mechanics, this feature is pretty simplistic but the extra effort that’s gone into the biting scene actually makes it quite a cool feature.

Play on mobile

Blood Eternal runs well on all kinds of mobile devices including iPads, iPhones, and Android tablets and handsets. It looks pretty good on mobile and the smaller display size doesn’t harm the game’s animation.

Return to player

Blood Eternal’s RTP is a pretty weak 95.03%; this is well below average RTP and not something that makes the game appealing to players interested in attempting to make a profit. It’s a high variance slot game, so only really suitable for those high rollers who don’t mind waiting for bigger wins.
