Sometimes, there is nothing better than nostalgia. Being reminded of something from the past can be a real blast at times as things may have been forgotten, or they may rekindle some top memories from a certain moment in life.

Playtech, in collaboration with Ash Gaming, have certainly tried to bring back some memories of the 1960s with their classic rendition of Batman, using the character that was played by Adam West. Batman and the Joker Jewels game is a wacky and vibrantly colourful game that provides a number of great graphics and certainly brings out the crazy 60s with its detailing. There are even some clips from the show, which is certainly a positive!

We loved doing this Batman and The Joker Jewels game review as there were a number of different features that we could get behind, whilst we also loved the nostalgic feeling we received whilst spinning the reels.

Gameplay

As mentioned, the graphics and the animations of Batman and The Joker Jewels slot game are of top quality and match the feelings of the classic TV show that was brought to our screens in the 1960’s. There is a real comic book feel to the symbols on the slots as well, which is a nice touch to keep things as close to the theme as possible for these DC Comics characters.

The symbols that are available in the game include Batman, The Joker, Robin, Batmobile, Batplane, gun, toy teeth and a Batarang folding knife. There are two wilds in the game, which come in the form of The Joker’s smile and the Batman logo, which provide players with the highest payouts of 100x the stake if five are landed on the reels in a payline.

The scatter operates as the ‘Bonus’ logo, which we will go into further detail with our Batman and The Joker Jewels bonus features section of this review.

Paylines are un-adjustable in the game, therefore the five-reel, 25 payline slot game needs to be played at its maximum, however it is playable from as little as 0.25¢ per spin, up to a maximum of $125. Available across a number of different devices, there are ‘Autoplay’, ‘Turbo’ and ‘Spin’ buttons available to maximise the gameplay experience, whereas there is an ‘Info’ button for all details regarding the game.

Feature Bonuses

The ‘Bonus’ scatter symbol provides players with exactly that: a bonus! The Batman vs The Joker Free Game is played when the symbol is landed on reels 1, 3 and 5 in the same spin. All wins in the feature are multiplied by the Bet-Tastic Multiplier Meter. If the Caped Crusader or the Clown Prince of Crime are chosen, a 5x multiplier becomes available.

Pay attention to the wild symbol during the feature as it moves the multiplier meter to the left or right – there is no set number of free spins and the feature comes to an end when the multiplier meter lands at the “end”. Players aim to get a lot of free spins with the highest possible multiplier.

The Joker Random Wilds feature can be activated in any spin in the base game. Players will see Jester the Jackanapes set loose on the reels. The wild antics of the Joker can award players of up to 9 smiling wild symbols in any position on any spin.

There is also the possibility that players can win 1 of 4 mysterious progressive jackpots in the DC Super Hero Jackpot Game feature with any spin. The higher the bet, the greater the chance of entering the Jackpot Game. After entering, players will definitely win 1 of the 4 jackpots. They will encounter 20 jackpot icons that need to be selected; if you match 3, the corresponding jackpot will belong to you, with mini, minor, major and grand jackpots available; the latter with the highest reward.
